VSAT AND WIFI TECHNOLOGY CREATES WIRELESS VPN, OPEN ACCESS NETWORKS AND INTERNET ACCESS IN REMOTE LOCATIONS

Chandler, Ariz., – August 24, 2005 – World Communication Center (WCC), a leading provider of global satellite voice and data communications, announced a channel partnership with Strix Systems, a company specializing in high performance wireless mesh network systems, to provide wireless local area networks (LANs) and Internet access via satellite in remote environments in the contiguous United States.

WCC will combine Strix Systems’ powerful self-configuring and self-healing wireless mesh networking systems, with WCC’s portable VSAT satellite to create a wireless LAN Internet connection anywhere in the world. Underserved industries impacted by the inability to acquire Internet include construction, mining, RV park, hotel and motel, ski resort, maritime, government and defense. This satellite Internet WiFi network will ensure the ability to seamlessly conduct business anywhere, and perform critical tasks such as securely accessing a central corporate network, ordering parts, pulling critical data off the Internet, or accessing e-mail.

The breakthrough technology allowed them to provide their race team with the tools and resources needed to maximize their presence at the national event critical to their industry.
