CALABASAS, Calif., July 31, 2007 – Strix Systems, the leader in high-performance wireless mesh networking, today announced that the Nairobi-based Sameer Group, the leading economic force in Africa and pioneer provider of affordable mobile telephone services in Kenya, will distribute the Strix Access/One® family of products across 42 countries and six island nations of sub-Saharan Africa.

Under a Strix Master Value Added Distributor (MVAD) agreement, Kenya Data Networks (KDN), one of Sameer Group’s Information Technology businesses, becomes a major distribution point for Strix Systems in Kenya. Kenya’s largest licensed Public Data Network Operator (PDNO) and full-service data communications carrier, KDN will distribute the full line of Strix Access/One Network Outdoor Wireless Systems (OWS), Indoor Wireless Systems (IWS) and Edge Wireless System (EWS) products throughout Africa to service providers, integrators and resellers who require cost effective indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi voice, video and data networking services for their customers.

Strix’s solution-based multi-radio, multi-channel, multi-RF wireless mesh architecture, the ability to provide localized professional services and support, and the economics of Strix’s solution have enabled KDN to deliver wireless mesh network services and client access from any place, at any time, to four million customers throughout Kenya. Services include Internet access, connectivity to application service providers, virtual private networks, real-time remote security surveillance, VoIP solutions, radio and TV networks, healthcare networks, E-learning, business-to-business connectivity,
