CALABASAS, CA, October 11, 2004 – Strix Systems, Inc. today announced it has signed an agreement with Northamber PLC, who will serve as a distributor of the Access/One Network to Strix Value Added Resellers (VARs) and integrators in the United Kingdom. The Access/One Network is sold exclusively by Strix channel partners and is available to enterprise, hospitality, education, hotspot providers, and other end customers.

Prior to this move to a 2-tier distribution model, Strix engaged directly with a limited number of resellers for an initial entry into the UK market. Briteyellow, a Cranfield based value added reseller (VAR) focusing on wireless solutions, added the Access/One Network to their product portfolio because of its unique features and functionality.

British Petroleum (BP) purchased the Access/One Network for use with their emergency response teams. “We needed a secure and manageable wireless network that could be easily transported, quickly assembled and easily operated anywhere in the world,” said Zäl Rustom of the BP Regional Response Team. “The self-configuring, self-tuning, and self-healing aspects of the Access/One Network complemented by the Manager/One interface and comprehensive security gave us exactly what we needed.”
