Strix Systems Named a Top Ten Start-Up to Watch by Network World

Strix Systems is the only WLAN hardware vendor to be selected

CALABASAS, Calif., – April 27, 2004 – Strix Systems today announced that the editors of Network World have chosen it as one of the "10 Start-ups to Watch" in 2004. The details of the selection were published in the April 26 Signature Series Issue of Network World. The selection was the third of its kind this year for Strix. The company was also named as one of the wireless companies to watch in 2004 by Network Computing in its December Survivor’s Guide Issue, and was recognized in the VAR Business 2004 Directory of Innovation.

"With our sales channel in full motion and customers showing enthusiasm for the Access/One Network, 2004 is shaping up to be a banner year for Strix," said Bruce Brown, president and CEO of Strix Systems. "To have Network World validate our potential is a welcome confirmation."

"We selected Strix among a slew of wireless competitors for its unique approach to creating a WLAN without wires and for its focus on the enterprise," said Beth Schultz, editor of the Signature Series at Network World.

The Strix Systems Access/One Network represents the next generation of wireless LAN products, leaping past the traditional access point and emerging switch architecture to mesh; a self-discovering, self-configuring, self-tuning and self-healing wireless network incorporating robust security and comprehensive management within a single wireless network. The Access/One Network consists of various modules, designed to stack on top of one another to form a network node. Multiple network nodes discover and connect to each other through a mesh topology to form a unique wireless system for each organization. The Access/One Network can be configured and managed via Manager/One, a comprehensive management platform that allows IT administrators to control all key elements of their wireless network.
