CALABASAS, Calif., – April 12, 2004 – Strix Systems announced today that it has expanded offices, consolidating three Westlake Village, CA locations totaling 12,000 sq/ft to a single 25,000 sq/ft location in Calabasas CA. Engineering, Operations, Finance & Administration (F&A), Research & Development (R&D), and Marketing will now share a single location. The Sales team will remain based out of Strix’s Dallas, offices.

"We’ve been growing at such a rapid pace that we were forced to add offices apart from our primary facility" said Bruce Brown, president and CEO of Strix. "We are excited to bring everyone back together under one roof. It makes for a much more collaborative and productive work environment." Strix Systems has doubled their workforce in less than a year, growing to more than 70 employees with plans to add jobs in 2004.

Previously the Operations team worked out of one location, Finance & Administration and Marketing out of a second, and Engineering and R&D out of a third. Within those locations space was at a premium, with conference rooms and other common areas having been converted to office space. The new location was nearly turn-key, with plenty of offices, cubicles, and meeting rooms. "Productivity gains will come both from nearly all employees working in the same building along with an efficiently configured floor plan," said Gordon Almquist, vice president and CFO for Strix. "In addition, Calabasas is closer to the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles where most of our employees live, so it shortens the time they spend in traffic getting to work."
